Es en el marco de dicha convocatoria, donde se aprueba la ayuda para la realización del proyecto elaborado desde AMEB, más comprometida que nunca en la reivindicación de los derechos de las mujeres y la consecución de una igualdad de género inclusiva y real.
El proyecto Promoción de la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres con discapacidad surge como una herramienta de concienciación, información y formación dirigida tanto a personas con discapacidad y sus familias como a profesionales que trabajan día a día con ellas, con el fin de promover una actitud más respetuosa e igualitaria hacia todas las personas.
Así, de acuerdo al número 5 de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible propuestos por la ONU, que establece que la igualdad de género, a parte de un derecho fundamental, es un fundamento esencial para construir un mundo pacífico, próspero y sostenible, el objetivo principal de dicho proyecto es generar conciencia y promover la igualdad de género a todas las personas pertenecientes al Área de Personas Adultas de AMEB.
Gracias a dicha colaboración, ha sido posible la contratación de una técnica experta en materia de igualdad en la Asociación, encargada de llevar a cabo la ejecución del proyecto. Dentro del mismo, se encuadran diferentes acciones internas, como formación sobre igualdad y derechos y creación de un protocolo de actuación ante abusos y situaciones de violencia, como externas, con la realización de una herramienta de difusión para concienciar sobre la necesidad de promover la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres, dirigida a toda la población.
